WHAT ARE
YOU MAKING?

Do not choose the tequila first. Start with the product, the price point and how you want it to taste.

01

Commercial RTD

Margaritas, palomas, hard seltzers and volume-led products where flavour, margin and repeatability all matter.

USUALLY START WITH 51% AGAVE MIXTO
02

Premium RTD

For products where you want more visible agave character and a stronger premium story in the finished drink.

OFTEN A HIGHER AGAVE MIXTO
03

Bottled Spirit

A UK-bottled mixto route, or a 100% agave product bottled at origin in Mexico. The right answer depends on the commercial model.

THE PRODUCTION ROUTE MATTERS MOST
04

Tequila Liqueur

Flavoured tequila liqueurs, cream liqueurs and other tequila-based products where taste, texture, sweetness and production all need to work together.

WE'LL MATCH THE TEQUILA TO THE RECIPE
THE USEFUL BITS FIRST

BEFORE YOU START.

These are the four things we explain most often. Get these right and the rest of the project becomes much simpler.

01

Can I import 100% agave tequila in bulk?

No.

It must be bottled at origin in Mexico. For UK production, use a project-specific exportable mixto route to the named approved bottler or manufacturer.

02

Does mixto mean poor quality?

Not at all.

A well-made 51% mixto can be smooth, agave-forward and exactly right for an RTD.

03

Should I always buy the highest agave percentage?

No.

Spend more only when the finished product benefits. Test it in the recipe, not just neat.

04

Can bulk tequila still be reposado or añejo?

Yes.

Blanco, reposado and añejo are classes. Each can sit within an exportable mixto specification.

WHY OUR TEQUILA

QUALITY STARTS
IN THE FIELD.

We supply tequila made from fully mature agave, through a traditional diffuser-free process, with traceability from the field through to the finished liquid.

7+ YEARS.

Every tequila we supply begins with Blue Weber agave grown to full maturity for at least seven years.

NO DIFFUSERS. EVER.

Our tequila never sees a diffuser and is not made through a diffusion process.

ESTATE GROWN.

Most of our agave comes from our own estate. Any additional agave comes from trusted farms with full traceability.

NOTHING WASTED.

Agave fibre, husks and leaves are returned to the land as compost for future generations of plants.

200 L BARRELS.

Our reposado and añejo mature in standard 200-litre ex-bourbon barrels, not oversized vat casks.

BAT-FRIENDLY THINKING.

We support the long-nosed bats that help pollinate agave and maintain healthy agave ecosystems.

WHY THE TEQUILA GUYS?

WE HAVE ACTUALLY
DONE THIS OURSELVES.

We are tequila brand owners, importers and operators. Not brokers learning the category from the outside.

We own and operate VIVIR Tequila, El Sueño Tequila and MODA. We manage CRT-approved tequila imports for our own brands and approved partner projects.

That means our advice is grounded in what works in the real world, including cost, flavour, compliance, lead times and production.

FAQ

The questions we are most often asked by founders, drinks companies and manufacturers sourcing tequila in the UK.

What tequila is normally used for UK RTDs?

A well-made 51% agave mixto is normally the best place to start. It can be exported from the authorised producer for a specific approved project and can perform extremely well in the finished recipe.

Can you arrange higher agave mixto tequila?

Yes. Depending on the project and producer, we can arrange higher agave mixto specifications, including up to 99% agave, for a named approved bottler or manufacturer under the required CRT export route.

Can bulk tequila be blanco, reposado or añejo?

Yes. Blanco, reposado and añejo are tequila classes. Each can be produced within an exportable mixto specification and shipped for a named approved project. The class and agave percentage are separate decisions.

Can 100% agave tequila be exported in bulk?

No. Tequila labelled 100% agave must be bottled at origin in Mexico. It cannot legally be exported in bulk for bottling or manufacturing in the UK.

Do you sell bulk tequila from general UK warehouse stock?

No. Each bulk shipment is tied to the authorised producer, named brand or product and named approved UK bottler or manufacturer under the relevant CRT and export documentation. It cannot be resold or transferred onwards in bulk to another bottler.

Can we receive samples before ordering?

Yes. Samples can be arranged for liquid evaluation and product development. We strongly recommend testing the tequila in the finished recipe before agreeing a commercial specification.

Can you help with CRT registration and import?

Yes. We coordinate liquid selection, CRT registration and project-specific export documentation from Mexico through to delivery at the named approved UK production site.
